Alternating turns · 2 players
Two pieces stand on a small board. The players take turns, and on your turn you move your piece like a chess queen. The square you leave is burned and can never be used again, so the board shrinks with every move. If it is your turn and you cannot move, you lose.
Simultaneous moves · 2 players
Two light cycles race across a grid. Each one leaves a solid wall of light behind it, and the grid slowly fills up. Hit a wall, a trail or the other bike and you are out. The last bike still moving wins.

Two snakes share a grid full of apples. Every apple a snake eats makes it one cell longer. Crash into a wall, the edge or a snake body and you are out. The last snake still moving wins, and if both survive 300 turns, the longer snake wins.
